Damiano Building Maintenance Coordinator, Richard Howell, was honored as the recipient of the 2018 Bennett Humanitarian Award. He was presented with the award at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on June 12. The Bennett Humanitarian Award is given annually to someone affiliated with the Damiano Center who honors the dignity of all people, and who has improved the quality of life of those around them through their words and deeds.
Richard has managed the Damiano Center facility since 2011, when he began his current position after volunteering for two years with his predecessor. In addition to his work in building maintenance, Richard facilitates weekly Health Realization meetings.
Richard welcomes everyone to the Damiano Center with a grin, handshake, or hug. He brings his humor and wisdom to work with him every day, and he is well-known and loved by Damiano diners, volunteers, donors, and everyone else who visits the building. We congratulate Richard on this achievement.
