Housing Access Program Closing

The board of directors of the Damiano Center voted to close the Damiano Housing Access Program, effective April 30th, 2010. The main issue was a current deficit, plus the prospect of even larger deficits in the years to come. Housing Access provided assistance for tenants and landlords who were dealing with evictions and other housing issues.

Housing Access was a separate agency until 2007 when it joined Damiano. It had a long history of helping people with housing issues.

No other Damiano programs are in danger of being closed.
