Open since 1982, The Damiano Center offers more than just a free meal. Today, we operate six programs that provide for people's basic needs and help them become more self-sufficient.
Our Soup Kitchen and Kids Cafe® work to reduce hunger; Clothes That Work and the Clothing Exchange provide clothing for work and general use, Damiano Social Services is here to help people resolve all kinds of crises and Housing Access assists in reducing new occurrences of homelessness and rapidly re-housing people who are homeless. All of our services are free of charge.
Every day of the week we are here to help the hundreds of people who come to us for assistance. Through your donations and volunteer efforts you keep our doors and hearts open.
Our Values
We welcome people in need and, without judgment, serve them in the least intrusive way possible.
We promote respect for all people in our workplace practices and in our services to individuals.
We strive to meet the needs of the people we serve by getting to know them personally and responding to their changing needs.
We are a good steward of resources. We demonstrate honesty, integrity and accountability in the use of those resources and in all relationships, dealings and transactions.
