The Clothing Exchange

Each year almost 400,000 items are distributed to people in need.
• The only free store in Duluth, open since 1983.
• Without it, many would face a Duluth winter without warm clothes.
• Besides clothing, we offer a variety of household items.

How it works

1. People donate clothes and household items, during store hours.
2. Volunteer workers sort through the donated goods.
3. We accept clothing and items that are clean, dry and working.
4. The items are displayed on racks and shelves in the store.
5. Items are distributed free of charge with no questions asked.

We accept:
clothing, shoes, hats, mittens, small appliances (toasters, coffee makers)

We don’t accept:
dirty or broken items
furniture
large appliances (microwaves, refrigerators)
electronics (TVs, VCRs, etc.)

Open: monday, tuesday, wednesday & Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. & Saturday 10 a.m. - 2p.m.
